"When a cancer diagnosis throws you into a confusing new world, improving your nutrition and physical activity are lifestyle changes only you can add to your treatment plan - a plan with the potential to improve survival and quality of life"

COLLEEN GILL
MS, RDN & Board Certified Specialist Oncology Nutrition 2008-2025

Colleen’s 28 years as a dietitian at the University of Colorado Hospital included work with pediatrics, renal, bone marrow transplant and cancer patients before establishing Colorado’s first out-patient nutrition support program at the NCI accredited University of Colorado Cancer Center in 2002. Since taking early retirement in 2016, she continued to work in private practice, teaching classes for the Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers and seeing patients individually.

Colleen's Mission

To help cancer survivors sort through the avalanche of information and misinformation surrounding nutrition and lifestyle choices, interpreting this new language so that they can identify their immediate and long-term priorities and confidently take the next step in their journey to recovery.

Colleen served on the boards of the Oncology Nutrition Practice Group and the Board of Trustees of the Association of Community Cancer Centers and worked on the exam writing group that developed the certification for a Board Certified Specialist in Oncology (CSO) in 2008.
